Bridge Functionality question
I am going to install this bridge on my site, before doing this i want to double check its functionality. Can you please answer these number wise? Thanks.
1. Users will be able to use same user id and pass both for main site and forums. If they are logged in on main site, they wouldnt need to login on forums again and vice versa? 2. Same registration process will be used for main site and forums i.e. if they register on main site, they don’t have to register on forums again and vice versa? and that registration process will be off vB? 3. As same user account will be used both for main site and forums, then users should be able to comment on main site's posts even if they logged in from forums? 4. Once they have made comments, their user name shown with comments should link to their vBulletin profile? 5. For every new post I make on main site, a thread about it will be made on forums automatically, giving a link back to the article with a little description. 6. For every category on main site, there will be a separate section on forums where the post belonging to that category will be posted. For example, if I post an article in 'No. 1' category, there will be a section on forums named as 'No. 1' where thread about that article will be posted. This can be done through a mapping criteria that can be defined in the site settings? 7. Every comment posted either on main page or on forums, will be displayed on both places and vice versa. For example, if I make a comment in the thread or on the article, this comment will also be shown in the corresponding article on main site or corresponding thread on forums respectively? |

Thanks for prompt reply.
Question 5. then how it'll work? I mean isnt it supposed to make a thread on forums in a specific section when i post an article in wordpress? Question 6. If there wouldnt be a separate vB section for every WP category then where threads will be posted? Question 7. then where the comment will be shown? |

The comments are kept the same way WP comments are currently. There is no need to start a new thread, they are stored in the WP comment database.
It is not supposed to make a new thread for every WP post. The comments will be shown inside the WP post, just like always. |

Yes, it is a user bridge only.
There may be other plugins out there that double up your content like you want, but it is not this one. |
